GOALS: To practice writing argumentative paragraphs with an argument and a rebuttal and to begin thinking about controversial issues in The Giver.

AGENDA

Review counterargument and rebuttal. Write a detailed paragraph about one of the ten topics from yesterday's handout. You must use make a claim and support your claim with evidence. You will also have a counterargument and rebuttal.

Your paragraph will be published to Kidblog and posted in the Argumentative section.

If time, you will be assigned two other students' work to comment on. We will provide the questions to answer.
