Save the Last Word for Me
Directions
- I will assign you some pages from the teleplay
- You find a significant quote from those pages and write it on the front of the index card that I give you. When choosing your quote, consider theme and symbolism.
- On the back of the card write one or two sentences explaining the context of the quote. THEN, explain why you chose the quote. Why is it significant? How does it contribute to the theme? What might it symbolize? Try to fill the back of your card.
These cards will be used in a group discussion; I will explain in class.

2) After you have done the above, please fill out the Google Form. It will be based on thoughtfulness, truthfulness, and thoroughness. Take your time, and make sure to elaborate as much as possible.
3) With remaining time, you may work on the narrative you would like to finish. It should be no longer than two pages. Make sure to use to think about yesterday's lesson as you are writing! Use vivid verbs, specific words, and a variety of sentence types. Your story should have a beginning, middle, and an end. The ROUGH draft is due on Friday.
